Working at such a strong publishing company has given me the opportunity to write a wide variety of stories, from news to features to human interest articles, for internationally distributed magazines. Below are samples of some of my published pieces. (Click on each caption to see my work.)

I wrote this article for Bassmaster Magazine’s 35th anniversary issue, June 2003. The article, “Top 35 Antique Lures,” was among other “top 35” stories of this award-winning collector’s edition.

In 2006, I covered a Women’s Bassmaster Tour event, and the articles were published in BASS Times as well as Bassmaster.

During my tenure at FTR, I wrote numerous short, light-hearted pieces, as well as conducted interviews for our How’s Business? section. (example 1) (example 2) (example 3) (example 4)

I also wrote informational articles, often used as a guide during the industry trade show.

Hard news about legislative issues and industry concerns were a large part of my work on FTR.

I wrote features as well, including this one about how retailers who didn’t have point-of-sale systems should consider getting them. (page 1) (page 2) (page 3) (page 4)

Outside of work, I assisted the Stetson Executive MBA coordinator at my alma mater in editing a new alumni newsletter, which included an article I wrote about one of my classmates. And now, I’m helping the program build its social media presence, particularly on its blog.
